Transmission Electron Microscope
The park hosts a state-of-the-art Transmission Electron Microscope facility, enabling atomic-resolution imaging of materials and biological samples. Available to researchers across the park through collaborative arrangements.
Nanofabrication facility
AMOLF's Nanolab Amsterdam provides nanofabrication and characterisation capabilities, including lithography, deposition and etching equipment. Open to external users from academia and industry through a user access programme.
ASI — detector technology spin-off
Amsterdam Scientific Instruments (ASI) is a spin-off from Nikhef producing high-speed, high-resolution pixel detectors for electron microscopy, X-ray imaging and particle physics experiments. A successful deep-tech commercialisation story from the park.
National HPC facility by SURF
Snellius is the Dutch national supercomputer, hosted at Amsterdam Science Park by SURF. It provides high-performance computing resources to Dutch universities and research institutes for large-scale simulations, AI training and data-intensive research.
Open wet lab facilities
Open Kitchen Labs (OKL) provides flexible, open-access wet lab space at Amsterdam Science Park for startups, researchers and freelancers who need laboratory infrastructure without the overhead of a dedicated lab. Available on a membership or day-use basis.
Fabrication & prototyping lab
The UvA Makerspace at Amsterdam Science Park is a hands-on fabrication and prototyping lab with 3D printers, laser cutters, electronics workbenches and more. Open to all UvA students, researchers and affiliated organisations on the park.
